So here we are! About to board at Auckland Gate 15, heading out for Türkiye via Singapore. We’ve somehow got everything we need for at least 6 months of travel in about 10kg of luggage each, and we’re so ready to go! Been waiting for this moment for months and months and it’s finally here.
We’ve had a lovely couple days in the Bay, saying goodbye to Dad, the dogs and finally grandparents. Had a soggy but lovely walk around Mt Maunganui yesterday, and it’s mega soggy here in Auckland. Good thing we’re heading to sunny Istanbul!
Anyway, not much to report for this first post, just wanted to say goodbye and a huge thank you to everyone who has made our time in New Zealand special! We’re already missing all of you so much, so please come and visit us 🥲. After all the stress of packing and teary goodbyes, excitement is finally starting to kick in (I’m only 26 hours away from my first Döner 🤠🤠).
